Xiaomi has officially introduced its latest generation of tablets in China with two new models: the Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. Both devices share a number of core specifications but are differentiated by performance, camera setup, and charging speeds.
Both tablets feature an 11.2-inch IPS LCD display with a 3.2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 800 nits. The screens support HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision, along with enhanced DC dimming. Users can also opt for a matte version with an AG coating, which reduces reflections by up to 70%. In terms of design, both models have a slim 5.75 mm metal body weighing 485 grams and are equipped with four speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos.

The key differences are found in performance and cameras. The Xiaomi Pad 8 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The Pad 8 Pro, on the other hand, comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, offering up to 16 GB of RAM and as much as 512 GB of storage. Camera setups also vary: the Pad 8 includes a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera, while the Pad 8 Pro is equipped with a 50 MP rear sensor and a 32 MP front-facing camera, providing a clear advantage for photography and video calls.
